Seattle, October 7, 2024 – Supio, a purpose-built AI platform trusted by personal injury plaintiff law firms to provide crucial insights at the most critical moments in their cases, today announced that its third quarter, which ended September 30, 2024, was the largest quarter in company history. Growing month-over-month by 30%, Supio is showcasing their company as the leaders in legal AI for personal injury law firms.
This announcement comes right off the heels as an oversubscribed $25 million Series A led by Sapphire Ventures, with participation from existing investors Bonfire Ventures and Foothill Ventures. The new investment brought Supio’s total funding to date to $33 million.
In addition to their record growth, the company also expanded its senior management team during the quarter with the appointment of former Vice President of Product for Litify, Pamela Wickersham as their new Head of Product. Wickersham joined Supio to oversee Supio’s product roadmap and ensure growth in innovation.
Key wins for the quarter came in the form of superior wins for Supio law firms. Supio supported TorHoerman Law who recently represented a plaintiff in a bellwether case brought against Abbott Labs. The case resulted in the healthcare company being ordered to pay $495 million in compensatory and punitive damages.
In a recent $21 million verdict, D’Amore Law Group successfully leveraged Supio’s deep dive feature, enabling their legal team to quickly identify critical testimony and efficiently file directed verdict motions, helping the firm win on every motion filed by the defense. “Supio’s ability to streamline transcript searches was particularly valuable in this time-sensitive environment, transforming what would have been hours of manual work into a fast, focused process,” said D’Amore Law Group founding partner Tom D’Amore.
“Supio’s recent growth is a testament to the acceleration of need for AI in the market and the importance of providing a trusted and reliable solution to our law firms,” said Jerry Zhou, CEO and Co-founder of Supio. “We are excited to harness this quarter’s momentum to fuel the next stage of our growth as we help law firms and their clients level the playing field in a meaningful way. We are getting our law firms clients the justice they deserve.”
